The non-league pre-season included scrimmages against Drew (W 4-1) and University (L 2-5), and matches against Gateway (W 5-2) and Lick-Wilmerding (T 2-2). The AAA season began Sept. 15 with a bitter and disorganized 1-2 loss to Lincoln, followed by an improved showing against Galileo (W 2-0). Despite ample talent among returning starters and new players alike, the squad has yet to regain the focused and cohesive form that captured the 2014 AAA championship.
