On Tuesday, April 2nd, the University Devils showed up to the Lowell courts for their first match against the Cardinals of the season. Despite Lowell losing 2-5, several teammates played remarkably well. Justin Pau, playing singles one, beat his Devil of an opponent 6-1, 6-4. Evan Fox, won both sets as well with a score of 6-0, 6-3.

The next day, Wednesday, April 3rd, the Lincoln Mustangs saddled up to the Lowell courts looking for a win as well. Their were sorely disappointed, losing 7-0. According to Captain Eli Ganz, who played doubles one with Captain Nick Morgenstein, “we were focusing really on agressivity,” which, according to Ganz, “is a term we coined meaning being aggressive but like with velocity.”

This method of “aggressivity,” which Ganz and Morgenstein purportedly insist on incorporating into practice drills, apparently didn’t fail the Cardinals on Friday, April 5th, during their final match of the week against Riordan High School, in which they won every match.
