On March 6th, 2015, the Lowell Tennis team traveled to San Mateo, California, to take on Aragon High School, a tennis powerhouse. While the team lost all seven of its varsity matches, each player played smart tennis, refusing to give in and often pushing games to three-set affairs. The greatest upset of the day, however, came from the Lowell’s JV tennis squad, which took both of its matches over Aragon’s team. James Sutton and Jonathan Chen (8-6) and Jack Ieong and Trevor Leong (8-6) defeated their opponents in contentious pro-set matches. Lowell’s victory accurately describes the depth that the Cardinals have this year - not just a strong starting lineup, but also experienced, skilled players who know how to win.
