•Assistant Coach 1987. Won varsity boys, varsity Girls, frosh-soph boys championships. •Head Coach 1990-2004. 15 total seasons. •Won 15 varsity girls championships (undefeated in the AAA). •Won 13 varsity boys championships. •Won 9 frosh-soph boys championships. •37 total championships as head coach. •Constantly the largest team in the AAA averaging over 70 runners per season. •1990 Varsity Girls were 17th (last) at the state meet Division One race. •Varsity Girls improved to 16th (1991), 15th (1992), 12th (1993) and 10th (1994) in subsequent state meets. •1995 Varsity Girls were 7th at the state meet and the best Division One Girls team from Northern California. Was also the first team to finish 3 runners in that race. •1996 Varsity Girls were 7th at the state meet, running a school/section team time record on the state meet course, just 27 points away from 3rd place. Also was the best Division One Girls team from Northern California. •1999 Varsity Girls were 5th at the state meet, first team from Northern California to achieve a top 5 finish in Division One and the best Division One Girls team from Northern California. Another Northern California team would not finish in the top 5 until 2011. •Three top ten individual finishers (state meet medalist). •CIF Honor Coach: Cross Country: 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997. •Cal Coaches Alliance/American Athletics Magazine Bay Section Coach of the Year: Cross Country 1991. •California Coaches Association State Coach of the Year: Girls Cross Country 2000.
