Tough Loss to Tennyson

The frosh/soph team traveled to Hayward on thurs to play a preseason game against Tennyson high school. With five returning sophomores and twenty two new players, the inexperience showed on the field against a tough Tennyson team.
The first half was close, Tennyson scored on their first drive but was quickly answered by QB Johann Leffler on a 60yd run. Before the half Leffler scored once more on a 1yd run. At half the score was Lowell 12, Tennyson 28.
By the end of the first half, Lowell suffered two injuries, Luis Guiton (ankle) and Daniel Wong (head). These two injuries were a big impact on defense and offense to the young Lowell team.
The team fought hard through the rest of the game with Leffler taking command of the offense and the defense playing hard. The loss was humbling and showed what this young inexperienced team needs to work on. We can only get better from here.
